Everything a new lawn needs in its first year: soil prep, planting, starter feeding, watering guidance and early care.
A new lawn is most vulnerable in its first year, and what you do early decides how it looks for the next ten. Builders often leave behind compacted clay, buried debris and a thin layer of topsoil, and many yards are seeded at the wrong time of year or with the wrong grass. Good establishment fixes these problems before they become permanent. In Middle Tennessee, a new yard that is prepared correctly and watered well can grow into a dense, durable lawn in a single season.
We handle the process from soil to first mowing. We test and prepare the soil, correct grade and drainage, add organic matter, select grass for your sun and use and plant with sod, hydroseed or seed. Starter fertilizer, a watering plan and a mowing schedule follow, and we guide you on weed control timing so that new grass is not harmed. We check progress and adjust, and then transition you to a regular maintenance program once the lawn is ready. The goal is a strong start that saves you money and frustration later.
Testing, loosening and amending soil fixes builder compaction before the grass goes in.
Sun, shade, traffic and your goals decide the variety, and the planting method follows.
Starter fertilizer and a clear watering plan help young grass root deeply.
Some products stop new seed. We time them so your new lawn is protected, not harmed.
