Selective treatment for dandelions, clover, chickweed, plantain and other broadleaf weeds, without harming the grass.
Broadleaf weeds are the flowers and rosettes that interrupt a clean green lawn. Dandelion, white clover, chickweed, henbit, plantain and wild violet each have their own season and their own habits, but they share a leaf shape that selective herbicides are designed to target. Cool, damp weather in fall and early spring is often the best time for treatment, because the weeds are actively growing and absorb the product well. In Middle Tennessee, a lawn can have several different broadleaf weeds in one season.
We match the product to the weed and the turf. A selective treatment clears broadleaf weeds while leaving the grass alone, and we choose rates that are safe for fescue, bluegrass, bermuda or zoysia. Stubborn weeds such as wild violet or ground ivy may need repeat visits, and we say so up front. We also pair treatment with feeding and overseeding, because thick grass is the best long-term defense. After treatment, you receive clear instructions on watering, mowing and when pets and children can return to the lawn.
The treatment targets broadleaf weeds and leaves your grass in place when applied correctly.
Cool-season weeds respond well to treatment in fall and early spring. Summer weeds need different timing.
Wild violet and ground ivy often need repeat visits. We explain this before we begin.
Feeding and overseeding fill the gaps that weeds would otherwise take over.
